Did you know that it takes your diaphragm contracting and pulling down your ribcage (and associated muscles) to enlarge your thoracic cavity, therefore allowing your lungs to expand and increase the internal volume which decreases the pressure, for you to inhale. And you do this 12 times a minute on average without even thinking about it. It's pretty great how your body does stuff like that for you!
In addition, I'm taking speech and language: birth through 3 years and phonetics. I'm way excited about all of this, but it's going to be a lot of work. I've had a ton of reading to do and I'm facing a couple upcoming tests ALREADY. Crazy, right?
This was the first day of school.
I was sick (still am, it's not so great), but I was still at school by 8am!
I've also been asked a lot about my apartment lately, so I'm going to say it here for the record: I'm really enjoying living off campus. Being able to leave campus at the end of the day and not having school be my ENTIRE life is really nice!
I finally got pictures up in my room.
And my roommate and I have SO MUCH TUPPERWARE.
Beyond school, there really isn't much else going on. I still don't have a "real" job but I've been getting a ton of babysitting jobs so I'm scraping by for now. Fingers crossed I can find something steadier!
This is one of the families I babysit for regularly. I took family pictures for them last weekend :)
When I sat down to write this, I thought I had a lot more to say. But really that's about it.
In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
:)
