San Francisco: 3

Day 3 in San Francisco turned out to be as much fun as the past two! Here is an overview of what we did :)

DELICIOUS breakfast.

This car got so much attention, just sitting on the street. It was crazy!

We headed to the water and all the tourist-y stuff after breakfast and moving hostels and such.

We hit up the aquarium first because it was cold and cloudy.

Jellyfish are so pretty!

These are like the fish from Finding Nemo!

We decided they were making a tornado shape. 

We're such little kids sometimes, it makes life fun :)

Later (after lunch at In N Out) we took a bay cruise!

The Golden Gate Bridge was gorgeous. 

Alcatraz is very cool too, we're going back tomorrow for a night tour!!!

Rachel had this photo of her mom, so we did one of the then and now photos :)

We headed to Ghirardelli Square as our last stop of the day!

Can't pass up free chocolate!

We also got ice cream, because we'd been seeing it all day and just couldn't resist.... :)

It was SO GOOD.

We ate it all up. 

After all that, we headed back to our hostel and hung out until we were hungry again. Then we got some pizza, ate, and watched New Girl and Glee. Pretty soon we'll be headed to bed because we've got a longgg day tomorrow! 

Off to check facebook, then wash my face&brush my teeth.

San Francisco: 1&2

So....

WE MADE IT. 

Rachel and I are really in San Francisco, having tons of fun. We actually got mistaken for residents today, to our ultimate excitement :) 

This is what we've been up to so far........

Day #1

We were very excited while waiting for the shuttle to the airport. And felt very grown up!

Our shuttle driver was very eccentric... haha.

And we were VERY happy to be assured that our tickets were legit, considering we bought them at cheapoair.com.

It had one of those old elevators that have the double doors and all that. 

SO COOL.

We also hit up Chinatown :)

The city is just beautiful! 

Our bathroom was very old-fashioned, and very yellow. 

Day #2

Second hostel, living area. 

They have a globe with Saipan on it!

(That's where I was born, fyi)

It looked like summer all day! And it was warm!

OH, and Theresa came too, btw!

So now we're at our hostel, pondering what to do with the night after our naps this evening.

DEAD week and FINALS.

Okay, so I have to clarify something right away:

I did not DIE during DEAD week. 

My sister asked me about that when I called it dead week, so I'm making sure you all know. 

Now that that is cleared up....

I'm DONE with fall quarter! :)

And I've officially aced 3 of my classes. 

Just waiting on honors grades. 

I'm so happy to be done with all this, because the past 2 weeks were very stressful. 

But I have some amazing people that got me through it :)

Paulina, who talks about crazy, mindless stuff with me!

Rachel, who never fails to make me laugh :)

Theresa, who motivates me to study and work out and do responsible things like that. 

Joseph, who tells the best stories. 

Tarek, who lets me go on long rants about everything I'm annoyed with. 

Elizabeth, my wonderful roommate, who followed my stickynote-message-leaving trend. 

And everyone else who has made me smile/laugh this week. 

I love college, but finals are stressful. No going to lie. 

Stoked for break, going to SF with Rachel, going to Utah to see Sarah, seeing my FAMILY :)

I'm thankful everyday, buuuut....

I'm glad there is a holiday dedicated to it, because I got to go home and see my wonderful family! I'm definitely thankful for them. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am today. And I'm more or less happy with who that is. They have given me patience, kindness, morals, standards, support, unconditional love, smiles, hope, a sense of responsibility and are always always always going to be there even if no one else is. So yeah, I love my family :)
Plus it was great to have some time to just hang out, and not worry about being a million places at once. Because my life has been hectic lately.

It made me feel like I was one of those "small town to big city" college girls that you always see in movies! Except Vancouver isn't where I grew up and Bellingham isn't a big city... haha.

So anyway, that was my Thanksgiving! Minus all the traffic. Which SUCKED. But I made it, and saw my family, and ultimately that is what is important.
