all about me

the excitement my CSD shirt caused was pretty incredible
(this is backwards, but if you look closely you'll see the face is made from the letters C, S, and D)

my favorite place in Bellingham is this beach

being girly and wearing makeup can be fun
it's like being a princess

Sorry for the abundance of my face.

I just like taking pictures of myself.

School is good, classes are about to get crazy, and I'm drowning in applications for jobs, internships, grad schools, etc. etc. etc. Being a grown and and figuring out my life is hard but I love it all.

20

AKA birthday post time.

This is me on my last day of being 19:

This is my friends and me all dressed up to go out to dinner:

This is the Italian restaurant we went to:

These are the lovely cards I got from people :) :

These are the cupcakes Alison made me (they're delicious!):

This is me on my actual birthday, all dressed up just because:

And that's about it!
20 is treating me well.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, cards, presents, etc.

Recently

This is just a "what I've been up to lately" post.
So if you're interested, continue to read.
If you're not, I will never know.
:)

I resumed knitting over the break.
Something about winter makes me crafty.

This is what it looked like when I was driving back to Bellingham.
Since then I've seen snow once.
And it did not stick.
So lame.

I did some rearranging in the apartment.
(aka I moved the desk across the room)

And I bought new shelving!
I probably spent too much on these, but the satisfaction of finally being more organized is worth it I suppose.

I wandered around/got lost in Bellingham one day, for lack of something better to do.
I live in such a pretty place.

Theresa and I exchanged presents!
She got me the cutest elephant photo.
I love it.

We also had a cooking adventure/movie night :)
The food was delicious!
We made everything from scratch.
Theresa even made the dressing.
I was pretty proud of us.

I started classes again.
This is my "it's early I don't want to go to school" face.
The first day of classes left me exhausted and ready to hibernate.
Only 9 more weeks.

Paulina and I braved the FREEZING weather!
...in honor of an ice cream run.
Go figure.
That chocolate brownie ice cream was so worth it.

I had an unfortunate experience...
I found this in my freezer one day.
(It's melted frozen berries, don't worry).
The freezer had stopped working and I had to fight with maintenance to come fix it.
It took a week.
I was about to just put all the food outside and call it good.

This is how cold it's been.
EVERY DAY.

And Theresa and I have already found it necessary to resume Saturdays at Woods.
We obviously love studying.

So that's about it.
I'll write more about classes once they've really started.
I'm excited for the quarter despite the excessive amount of work I'll have to put in.
We're starting observations, doing a service learning (aka hands on) project, and getting into the hearing sciences (which is super fascinating in my opinion).

The end.

2013

What?
2013?
I thought the world was supposed to end.

Well now that we've all made it here, here's what's been happening:

  • I made it through finals and 4.0'd the quarter. What a relief. The devious side of me is really looking forward to the meeting with my advisor I'm required to have because she told me that running start students don't know what they're in for when they get to "real college". Haha.
  • I went on a cruise with my family and Sarah, and spent Christmas in New Orleans.
  • I've gone back to knitting way too much, but I'm learning all kinds of different techniques and whatnot and it's really neat in a old lady cool kind of way.
  • I'm back in Bellingham, spending my last week of break trying to form habits for the new year that I really hope I stick to.
So about that cruise...
Here are the photos:

Day 1: lots of airports and traveling, but we finally made it to New Orleans!

They have some pretty cool houses there, I wanted one.

Day 2: cruise time! cruise time!

We had some fun in the cabin, haha.

Day 3: first day at sea

Once you go balcony, you don't go back!

Sittin' on the Mayan Ruins.

Hey look at my new house!

Me: *click click click click click*
Dad: *glare*
Hehe...

It was hottt.

Guysssss, these stairs are hardddd.
Haha.

We made it to the top!

Bahaha.

"Authentic" Mexican food?
I think not.

Day 5: "Belize it or not, we're in Belize!"

Some kids playing music on the street.

This is one of those candid photos that you just love forever and ever and one day show your grandkids and say, "Yep, that's what happens when you and your best friend are in another country together!"

Adios, Belize!

Our cute elephants waiting for us when we returned!

Uhm... yes. This is pretty accurate.
